Commission work can be fun and rewarding, but at times also painful… for an Oregon State Beaver. This piece was all of that. Commissioned by close friends to celebrate their son’s graduation from University of Oregon, this was inspired by photos I took myself over a decade ago. I wanted to focus on the crowd, depicting it in a slightly abstract form using color with a palette knife. It’s in a white painted frame with the field bleeding over on the bottom.
